We are currently seeking a Law graduate to provide paralegal support including legal agreement revision and research, as well as to provide professional and proactive support to the group legal team (5 persons) and occasionally the company secretarial (4 persons) function in all aspects of their work including meeting organisation, production of papers for meetings, legal document production, file management, administration, diary management, meeting support, liaison with external lawyers and consultants, project management and event organization so as to contribute to the success of the legal and company secretarial function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage revisions to legal agreements and Legal and corporate governance research
- Supporting the banks transactions and profits
- Support in the organisation, convening, preparation of agendas, preparation and distribution of papers for board and committee meetings and the conduct of board and committee meetings and follow up including minutes
- Support in relation to the filing of returns and other items and other responsibilities of the wider team
- Support in relation to shareholder meetings and communications with shareholders
- Document production, letter writing, note and memo writing
- Establish and maintain administrative systems and processes which ensure appropriate document storage and retrieval, file management and information retrieval
- General administration for the wider Legal team
- Provide a professional diary/time management service, building in regular meetings, pre-meeting preparation and performance management responsibilities.
What you will bring
- Degree or Master Qualified in Law
- Experience in an administrative role, in a Legal/Financial Services environment
- Outstanding written & spoken communication skills.
- Courteous and confident: able to deal effectively and professionally with people at all levels
- Quick and accurate keyboard skills
- High level of initiative and the ability to adapt
- Demonstrable Word, Excel and Powerpoint ability
- Desire to work in a Legal team
