We have an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Pre-Construction Project Manager to join our Property Services team in the North West.

    The successful candidate will report to the Pre-Construction Project Manager and will be responsible for converting successful tenders to construction projects.

    What you’ll do

    • Support the Pre-Construction Project Manager in understanding and clarifying the customer brief and key drivers
    • Work with the team to develop and agree the bid strategy
    • Assist the Pre-Construction Project Manager in management of the tender process, including design, planning, programming, pricing, commercial and submission.
    • Encourage a coordinated approach between all elements of the team.
    • Assist the Pre-Construction Project Manager in identifying the resources required for the various phases of the project.
    • Work with the Pre-Construction Project Manager to establish a pre-construction programme
    • Support the identification of key designer and supply chain relationships
    • Instigate and support meetings when required by the Pre-Construction Project Manager
    • Support the Pre-Construction Project Manager in ensuring the team provides information with the required timescales
    • Support the development of value engineering proposals if required
    • Contribute to any written submissions
    • Assist in the identification of risks and ensuring they are addressed within the tender
    • Support the tender adjudication and decision to proceed where required
    • Contribute to the Pre-Construction Project Manager’s internal and external reporting

    Have you got what it takes

    • Construction related degree
    • Computer literate and able to use Excel, Word and PowerPoint to a good standard
    • A confident ambassador of the company
    • Ability to interpret, simplify and respond to complex documents and legislations and good analytical skills
    • Ability to work on own initiative, meet tight deadlines and balance priorities to achieve results
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders
    • Effective time management skills as required to attain budget and timescale restraints set forward by the project requirements and the ability to perform successfully in a challenging works environment
    • Desire to learn and become a skilled Project Manager
    • A full driving licence is required
