Send is a rapidly growing InsurTech company founded in London in 2017. Our Founders share a vision to reshape and enhance the processes of commercial insurers by bringing together advanced technology and deep expertise. Fast forward to 2023 and we have implemented our Underwriting Workbench solution in some of the largest and most reputable insurers across North America, Europe and the Middle East.

Our Funding
From 2017 to 2022, we bootstrapped our growth journey into a profitable and secure company. In November 2022, following a year where we tripled in size and experienced 175% ARR growth, we secured Series A funding of £9M to accelerate our expansion plans in the UK and US.
The Role
As a Business Development Representative (BDR), you will join a growing sales team and be the first outbound point of contact with target prospects. You will strategise with the sales team and cross-functional stakeholders at Send to drive the company's continued rapid growth.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience of lead generation (including cold-calling) and sales prospecting. You will be a competitive and driven self-starter with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identifying opportunities for new business development through following up on leads and conducting research on target clients with the aim to build quality pipeline.
- Create value & engage prospects via cold calling, emailing and other lead generation activities, leveraging tools such as LinkedIn Sales Navigator and ZoomInfo.
- Handle incoming enquiries, qualify the potential prospects against our ideal customer profile as a legitimate prospect before engaging further.
- Schedule qualified meetings for Account Executives.
- Meet and exceed goals and key performance indicators.
- Strategise with Account Executives to create a map of each assigned target account to identify the best path of sale.
- Liaise with marketing to align strategy and messaging for target accounts.
- Be a hunter; follow up & chase all connections in a timely manner & add value at every customer touchpoint.
- Maintain and update the CRM (HubSpot), ensuring it is kept current.
- Help to build a robust network with prospects at target accounts.
Contribute to a world-class team:
- Collaborate with the other members of the Send team to align sales activities with marketing, the product strategy, the product roadmap, and customer success.
- Be a representative for sales across the rest of the organisation.
- Be comfortable working in a small (but powerful!) sales team and get scrappy if necessary.
About You
- You have 1+ years of technology sales / business development experience, ideally selling enterprise software, with a strong track record of hitting targets.
- You have experience in lead generation, cold-calling, and prospecting.
- You are competitive and a driven self-starter; hungry to be great.
- You have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- You crave learning opportunities, actively seek feedback and maintain a growth mindset.
- You are highly goal oriented and possess excellent communication & interpersonal skills.
- You are familiar with CRM (HubSpot) and lead generation / marketing automation tools.
