    Serco is recruiting for exciting role as a Graphic Designer within the print and graphics team at the Defence Academy! Do you have graphic design experience? We want to hear from you!

    Serco provides Facilities Management to the Defence Academy of the UK. This prestigious establishment is responsible for post-graduate education including command, staff, leadership, Defence management, acquisition, and technology training for members of the UK Armed Forces and MOD Civil Servants. The Defence Academy sits within a beautiful and secure site which hosts 2 lakes and is surrounded by acres of scenic woodland.

    We are looking for an innovative customer-focused Graphic Designer, to join our team delivering creative print and digital solutions in line with brand identities for the Defence Academy, Serco and third-party clients.

    Main accountabilities

    • Taking design briefs from Lead Graphic Designers and Graphics and Print Team Leader.
    • Liaising directly with clients to clearly identify the requirements of design briefs.
    • Design of logos, icons, diagrams, illustrations, signage and more, to a consistent style and quality.
    • Design of printed material including brochures, books, reports, folders, leaflets, menus, posters etc.
    • Produce creative digital content including eLearning material, animations, social media and interactive documents.

    What you’ll need to do the role

    • Degree in a graphic discipline or demonstrable and commensurate experience and skills proven by a strong portfolio of work.
    • Excellent working knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud applications, particularly InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
    • Knowledge of Adobe After Effects is beneficial.
    • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word and PowerPoint.
    • Ability to react to constructive feedback, making appropriate changes as part of the design process.
    • Passionate about design.
    • Enthusiastic and proactive.
    • Dedicated to providing excellent product quality and customer service.
    • Accurate and tidy working processes with good practical skills.
