To support the E-Retail Partnership Manager and E-Retail Partnership Coordinator in executing the UK’s e-retail strategy. Split between the Digital and Commercial teams, this is a great opportunity for someone who would like to progress within a Digital Marketing or Commercial role while getting exposure to other digital touchpoints within the business.

Shiseido UK & Ireland plays a central role in the EMEA region, leading the Digital acceleration agenda thanks to a team of local experts, but is also constantly reinventing its Retail footprint in this buoyant market.

Our first strength is Make-up, led by NARS, the No 8 brand in the UK market with incredible success globally.

Skincare is a key priority for expansion, with Shiseido having huge growth potential in UK&I, and also the spectacular launch of Clé de Peau Beauté in Harrods and H-Beauty. Drunk Elephant joined our portfolio at the beginning of 2021 bringing its unique tone of voice together with its amazing formulations. In 2023 we are planning to launch ULE a newly created Skincare brand with breakthrough credentials around Sustainability, as well as expanding Gallinée, our most recent acquisition from 2022 and specialized around skin microbiome.

We are also growing fast in Fragrance with brands such as Issey Miyake, Narciso Rodriguez, Tory Burch, Zadig&Voltaire and Serge Lutens.

Our clients include high-street retailers such as department stores, drugstores & chains as well as online pure players and specialty stores. We also have 4 boutiques and 3 direct e-commerce websites.

Main responsibilities

Permanent and Launch Asset Coordination

  • Ensure all asset calendars and folders are up to date, sharing with the wider teams and with key retail partners in ahead of launch dates
  • Complete retailer forms for new launches, editing and localising copy as needed
  • Adapt assets graphically either first-hand or through agencies
  • Support Commercial in preparation of new line forms for product setup
  • Support E-Retail Partnership Coordinator in the delivery of assets to retailers
  • Create best-in-class digital launch guides to ensure retailers launch new products flawlessly
  • Communicate launch send out status with wider teams regularly

C Retailer Partnerships

  • Serve as the primary interface for all digital needs for C retailers with the Coordinator’s support
  • Provide digital campaign briefs, assets, feedback and results for these retailers
  • Advise Commercial team on the digital partnerships and priorities per retailer
  • Continue to support Coordinator and Manager on B and A retailer executions

Audits and Maintenance

  • Monitor online retail partner activity for the UK to ensure they are aligned and representing all Shiseido brands in accordance with guidelines
  • Check all launches are executed correctly online after the OCD, tracking suboptimal executions and requesting changes as needed
  • Perform routine audits on retailer sites to identify issues and correct them, strategising and prioritising based on brand and retailer with Coordinator/Assistant
  • Manage and execute all ad-hoc retailer requests

Tracking

  • Capture all organic and paid-for coverage on e-retailer sites, social, email and other touchpoints regularly
  • Keep track of key competitor activity and launch activations across e-retail
  • Present key findings regularly to all Digital Managers alongside other Digital Interns

Digital Projects

  • Work with E-Retail team to identify and activate organic opportunities with key e-retailers
  • Coordinate the creation of bespoke assets for use on retailer social
  • Support E-Retail Partnership Coordinator with ad-hoc projects

Profile, skills and experience required

Essential

  • Superb organisational skills with a passion for detail and precision
  • Able to manage time effectively and prioritise accordingly
  • Excellent written English, with a keen eye for grammar, syntax, spelling, and style
  • Able to collaborate well with colleagues and internal teams
  • Strong awareness of online brand representation and messaging
  • Strong team player
  • Passion for all things digital and beauty
  • Passion and familiarity with UK online retailers
  • Positive attitude and works well under pressure
  • Previous experience

Desirable

  • Experience within an online luxury environment
  • Basic to Intermediate knowledge of Photoshop
  • Copywriting and proficiency with SEO
  • A relevant business degree / diploma
  • Previous experience working with websites and optimisation
