    We are currently looking for a Back-End Developer to support our operation in MediaCityUK.Shoalter Automation UK Ltd (a HKTV Group Subsidiary) is embarking on an exciting and revolutionary new project. In a world-first, we are set to introduce our first completely Automated Convenience Stores to the UK market and beyond.

    By utilising industry-leading robotics, self-designed machineries, and intelligent software derived from the HKTV Group’s extensive experience, we aim to create a seamless shopping experience set to redefine the industry, while creating opportunities to adapt to the challenges of our times.

    The job

    • Be involved and participate in the overall application lifecycle
    • Main focus on coding and debugging
    • Collaborate with Front-end developers
    • Define and communicate technical and design requirements
    • Provide training, help and support to other team members
    • Build high-quality reusable code that can be used in the future
    • Develop functional and sustainable web applications with clean codes
    • Troubleshoot and debug applications
    • Learn about new technologies
    • Stay up to date with current best practices
    • Conduct UI tests and optimise performance
    • Manage cutting-edge technologies to improve applications
    • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team of designers, developers and system administrators
    • Follow new and emerging technologies

    Requirements

    • Knowledge in Java, Relational Database, SQL
    • Knowledge in Spring Framework, Redis, Message Queue, Unit Test would be an advantage
    • Be passionate about new technology and able to work independently
    • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with a tight schedule
    • University graduate in Computer Science or related disciplines
    • Fresh graduates are also welcomed
    • Candidates with less experience will be considered as Programmer
    • Ability to speak Cantonese or Mandarin is a plus
