Siemens Energy has an exciting opportunity for a Commercialization Manager to join the Aero Derivative Gas Turbine (AGT) business in Warwick.This is a permanent, office-based role in Warwick, UK, however we do have a flexible working policy and there will be opportunity for you to also work remote from the office base.
A Snapshot of Your Day
Your new role will be to own the development and commercialization of product and service offerings (including upgrades to Products and Services), working closely with wider functional teams within Aero Gas Turbines, developing and maintaining cost models, evaluating business cases and the continuous development of standardized tools and process in support of the Marketing and Sales function. You will join a small team of Commercialization Managers, however working collaboratively with many global disciplines and functions across the Siemens Energy landscape.
The AGT business globally has successfully grown by focusing on the supply and support of AGT packages to the global oil & gas and power generation markets. The business has supplied gas turbines to customers in over 80 countries. It is our vision to be the customers' first choice for distributed power generation and compression systems solutions.
What part will you play?
- Build close working relationship with sales teams (central and regional) to evaluate the feasibility of ideas for new products and services
- Drive the generation of new Service ideas from concept through to commercial realization
- Business case analysis and development across the service business and the preparation of recommendations for business approval. Analysis will include market analysis, competitor analysis, NPV analysis, KPIs, continuous improvements
- Develop sales materials; sales presentation, commercial pricing strategy, value selling tools, flyers, winning guides
- Support the sales teams in the development of sales strategy and presentation to customers
- Train and enable global and regional sales teams on the value of the product and sales material
- Manage the development of market-led business cases to inform the allocation of R&D funding
What you bring
- A Bachelor’s degree. Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
- Experience in building business cases and calculating return on investment (ROI) on business R&D initiatives
- Familiar with go-to-market (GTM) strategies for new products and services
- Ability to juggle multiple complex projects simultaneously
- An innovative, systematic, and logical approach to problem solving
- Strong analytical skills
- A collaborative and pro-active nature
- Superior communication, stakeholder management and leadership skill
- Knowledgeable of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word applications
Desired but not mandatory:
- An MBA or equivalent graduate degree
- Experience in product marketing strategy
- Experience in the use and application of continuous improvement methodologies.
- Familiar with aero gas turbine products and Oil & Gas market
