The role
This 12-month student placement role working with the Great Britain and Ireland Marketing Communications team, offers a unique opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and initiatives. Your responsibilities will include supporting a programme of DE&I activities to help to tell an authentic story about what it is like to work for Siemens Healthineers; developing materials to build and develop our brand in the talent marketplace; co-ordinating a programme of DE&I events for our employees; and researching and benchmarking DE&I best practices. This 12-month internship placement will provide you with many exciting opportunities, projects and new initiatives to be involved in, and enables you to collaborate with all departments across the business, and a chance to make a really meaningful contribution to our team. We are looking for students who want to take on real responsibility during their year in industry, and who want to take advantage of a structured Intern Development Programme.
As a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Intern you can expect to work on:
- Telling an authentic story about what it is like to work for Siemens Healthineers: Co-ordinate a pipeline of ‘employee stories’ from across the business which help to tell the story of the diversity of our team in Great Britain and Ireland. Working with our marketing communications team to support with researching and drafting content for different channels.
- Developing materials to build awareness of our brand in the talent marketplace: Collaborate with the Talent Acquisition team to develop and disseminate interesting and engaging content through events, forums and other marketing channels.
- Co-ordinating a programme of DE&I events for our employees: Drive and support DE&I events as per the GB&I roadmap. Collaborate with relevant DE&I sub-groups to teams to ensure successful planning and execution of events. Establish and maintain a dashboard to monitor employee participation levels to provide insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
- Researching and Benchmarking DE&I Best Practices: Research and benchmark best-in-class DE&I approaches both within and outside Siemens Healthineers. Contribute to the development of strategies that align with the Great Place to Work Strategic theme.
- All of our Interns also participate in our 12 month Intern development programme teaching softer skills such as communication, teamwork, and commercial awareness alongside the role.
Who are we looking for?
- Currently studying a degree and looking for a 12 month placement.
- Strong interest in marketing communications and commitment to promoting diversity, equity and inclusion.
- Excellent communication skills with a customer focus, as well as excellent presentation and administration skills.
- Solid IT skills and some experience of data analysis.
- Excellent attention to detail, time management and task coordination skills.
- A proactive, team-oriented attitude with a willingness to learn and take initiative.

- Further assessment usually takes the form of interview or/and an assessment centre. Assessment centres and interviews typically include some combination of activities such as group problem-solving tasks, individual interviews, presentations and in-tray exercises.
