    Siemens Healthineers has a fantastic opportunity for a 12-month placement student to join our Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) team from Summer 2023 at Siemens Healthineers Magnet Technology in Eynsham. The internship will take place over 12 months starting between June – Sept 2023.

    The role

    The Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) department is in place to provide expertise in EHS legislation and best practice, and advise on necessary process changes in the business. Furthermore, by routine audit, measurement, and good communication, we help ensure the business is aware of our EHS standards. We encourage and support the implementation of appropriate corrective and improvement action as necessary.

    To give you an idea of how this flexible internship role would look and feel, here are some of the things you could expect to do:

    • Helpcoordinate our incident and near miss investigation processes via our onlinereporting system and analyse this information to draft management reports
    • Completionof factory and workplace inspections and support with more detailed audits
    • Provideinduction and training, such as our company EHS induction and awarenesstraining with staff
    • Assist withbusiness improvement initiatives
    • Proposeideas and organise activities as an active member of our wellbeing team

    About you

    To apply, you should be studying towards a degree in Environmental Studies, Occupational Health and Safety, EHS Management, Health & Safety Management, Safety Engineering or Business Management and working towards achieving a 2:2 or above, and looking to complete a placement as part of your degree. You will also need:

    • To have a passion for protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of others in the workingenvironment
    • Excellentoral and written communication skills
    • To be a goodteam player whilst also being able to work independently and be self-motivated
