In CIS we deliver network and security solutions to support the digital railway. Our portfolio includes the provision of telecommunication systems and cyber security solutions including data network, voice solution and security solution. We undertake a full project life cycle delivery from concept development and detailed design to implementation, test, installation and commissioning.

Your Learning and Development
Begin your journey with us whilst taking part in our fantastic graduate development programme. We will create an individual training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of it, you will be set up with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to equip you for your professional career in Siemens.
During this programme you will:
- Experience a full project lifecycle of a Railway Telecoms project; working on a variety of different tasks from Design right through to Installation, Test and Commissioning.
- Delve into the world of Networking. IP technology is becoming increasingly prevalent in today’s railway, with more and more projects moving towards this technology. You will be exposed to Network Design, as well as getting hands on with configuring and testing networks in our lab area.
- Work on real projects which may include Networks for Signalling, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) or Station Information & Security Systems (SISS)
- Undertake Siemens graduate training courses with Siemens in house training team, including technical training to achieve CCNA accreditation
- Develop excellent knowledge of technical standards and processes associated with the transport and telecoms industries.
- Be a valued member within a team of Early Careers (Apprentices/Interns/Graduates) to participate in the Business Improvement Project (BIP) Scheme. The scope of the project is to create and present a solution to executive management. It provides you with valuable team working and presentation skills.
- Be an ambassador for STEM through a multitude of volunteering opportunities, such as Greenpower, Big Bang Fair and much more.
Who You Are
We are looking for innovative and inquisitive candidates that demonstrate the following:
- Achieved or be on track to achieve a 2:2 degree or above in Telecommunications, Networks, Computing or a similar engineering discipline
- You think logically, willing to self-learn and research, and take a creative approach to problem solving
- You can work independently, safely, and responsibly; take ownership of challenges and ideas and are looking to develop your ability to drive and lead change
- You enjoy collaborating with others to find innovative solutions
We have 2 of these roles on offer; locations are Chippenham or Ashby de la Zouch so you must be willing to relocate to one of these locations if successful. The programme starts on Friday 11th August so you must also be available to start on that date due to planned inductions.
