We are looking for a dynamic and driven individual currently in their 2nd year of university, who is about to embark on their industrial placement / sandwich year. You're studying for an undergraduate degree in the area of: Human Resources, Business Management, or related fields, however we are open to applications from all degree backgrounds. Our ideal candidate will possess desire to learn coupled with excellent organisational and communication skills, as well as a people centric approach to everything you do. You will be able to work independently, under minimal direction and collaboratively as part of a team. Work to set timescales, with the ability to multi-task as well as focus on one task in particular to meet a requirement.

Our 13-month internship program is designed to give you the opportunity to build upon the knowledge and skills you have acquired at university. We will provide a platform to learn and grow as part of an innovative Global L&D team. You will have a clearly defined role which allows you to make a personal contribution to the delivery of L&D initiatives originating from agreed Learning & Development priorities and strategy.

We offer an internship program which focuses on your continual development beyond your time with us at Siemens. You will participate in a series of 10 workshops designed to enhance your skillset, providing you with the key tools required to succeed in your future career. These workshops will be delivered by our internal training team and feature a range of subject areas, from communication and presentation skills to personal effectiveness and career planning. Our aim is to provide a holistic learning experience which offers value to the individual as well as the organisation.

What will your L&D contribution be

Working with a senior team member, responsible for training coordination, you’ll organise and prioritise workload to complete specific tasks to required time - frame and quality standards using defined work practices. Using your initiative, you will overcome issues and challenges in order to complete tasks. Regularly you will collaborate with other L&D team members, and partners in other areas of the business to produce task output.

Presenting at regular L&D Team Meetings face to face and virtually, you will also support major conferences or learning events, where relevant (this may require international travel). In addition, you’ll produce L&D reports and updates on work to required cadence for use by L&D and stakeholder groups and produce relevant materials and onboard the incoming intern to be able to take over the role effectively.

Training Coordination

With other Training Co-ordinators, run the Global Learning & Development inbox and act as the first point of contact for learning and development queries. Publish instructor led and virtual instructor led classes for specific named geographies, ensuring data is informative and accurate. You will support the organisation of webinars (PLM Cafes) and ensure these are published and communicated in a timely manner and consolidate training demand management pipeline and hand over validated requests to the relevant Learning Programs Manager.

Collaboration with local training co-ordinators to schedule logistics for classroom delivery is an important task. You will need to handle the administration of global programs and release enablement within the Siemens PL Learning Management System, co-ordinating registration, prework, delivery ensuring trainers have all information and materials required to deliver effective enablement, with the governance of the relevant Learning Programs Manager.

Lead and collaborate with Zone and Country co-ordinators on good practice and gather feedback evaluations from courses, track trends and provide summaries to trainers, program managers and business partners.
