    The Challenge

    Embark on your 12-month placement with us whilst taking part in our fantastic intern development programme. We will create an individual training plan to help you develop the specific skills and knowledge required for your role. By the end of it, you will be set up with the best knowledge and hands-on experience to equip you for your professional career in Engineering.

    • Introducing quality improvements to achieve ‘Right First Time’ standards.
    • Resolve manufacturing problems in a timely manner.
    • Design for manufacturing - transcribing assembly sequences, being a first point of contact with various departments.
    • Assisting the NPI team with PFMEA's and Work Instructions.
    • Working hand-in-hand with Quality Department with regards to issues with ISO 22163.
    • Supporting the digital factory activities.
    • Generating reviews, work instruction and procedures.
    • Make contributions to the development of the Mendix platform, the existing digital standard operating procedure UI.
    • Procure configuration data from Team Center.
    • The ability to be empathetic and flexible with communicating with various departments and spearheading the digitalisation vision.
    • Maintain accurate records and documentation of standard operating procedures, equipment working instructions, and quality control procedures.
    • Implementing innovative solutions to optimise processes in the factory.

    About you

    Here’s what it takes to join some of the world’s brightest minds.

    • Studying towards a 2:2 or above in a manufacturing or engineering related degree.
    • Experience of engineering specifications and standards would be advantageous.
    • Good team working skills.
    • Being proactive with a can-do mindset.
    • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and operators in the digitalisation of the factory working in tandem with the Quality Department, to ensure the adherence of the workflows to the respective standards.
    • PC literate and proficient in using Microsoft Office, knowledge of MS Power platform or Mendix advantageous.
    • Able to work to targets and timescales.
