Siemens Digital Industries Software is a leading provider of solutions for the design, simulation and manufacture of products across many different industries. Formula 1 cars, skyscrapers, ships, space exploration vehicles, and many of the objects we see in our daily lives are being conceived and manufactured using our Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) software.
Lightworks now form the Centre of Excellence for Visualization inside the Siemens Digital Industries Software division. With specialisms in 3D graphics, ray tracing, virtual reality, games engines and UI, the Lightworks team supports advanced visualisation usage across the world-leading Siemens product design software range and directly with end users.
What we’re looking for
As a recent graduate, or as someone who’s opted for a placement within their degree course, you will be looking to start your career and studying to be a video content creator. This role is paid, available for one year, and offers a fantastic opportunity to produce engaging videos to help users discover and adopt new capabilities in our software.
In a recent study, we discovered that 94% of company executives are seeking improvement in productivity from their product engineering teams. The key driver of productivity is enabling people to get things done as efficiently as possible. We believe video is critical and this is where you come in.

What you’ll be doing
Working within our Creative Services team, you’ll also work with UX Copywriters, Product Managers and Product Experts to produce punchy videos helping users discover and adopt new capabilities in our software.
Your videos will be published both in-app and on Youtube enabling you to reach thousands of users every day at the biggest brands on the planet.
What you’ll bring
- An understanding and passion for what makes engaging video
- A passion for continuous learning and have an adaptable approach to working on a range of projects, at concept and detail level
- An ability to storyboard and script videos
- An understanding of the video creation pipeline and processing
A knowledge of any of the following would be desirable
- Video editing
- Cinematography
- Youtube
- 3D CAD systems
