We’re looking for a Graduate System Test Engineer to join our System Test Team in Cambridge, UK.

The role

As a Graduate System Test Engineer you will quickly start to develop skills in Linux, Python, scripting languages and software and hardware test processes. You will also work closely with members of the Software Development, Firmware Development, Product Management and Operations teams in an agile, flexible and fast paced environment.
What you’ll do
- Test Telensa products using a mix of manual and automated tests.
- Work with various engineering teams (electronics hardware, firmware, software development and operational deployment) to create test plans for new features for IoT (Internet of Things) enabled products.
- Support operations with root cause analysis of any product related bugs/issues.
- Automate & improvise upon manual testing routines.
- Deliver to agreed time and quality targets.
- Assist with managing the inventory of test equipment and associated documentation.
- Learn new technologies relevant to the projects.
Your qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related discipline is required.
- Must have practical experience with any high-level programming language, SQL & scripting language such as Python.
- Familiarity with the Linux operating system and software debug tools is desirable.
- An interest in networking, databases and automation of software tests is desirable.
- Ability to learn new technologies quickly to react to changing demands.
- Some software development experience is ideal.
- Good communication skills, able to communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences and to confidently deal with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent attention to detail.
