    The Graduate Design Engineering Role

    As a member of the McAlpine Lifting solutions team based at Kettering you'll develop areas of expertise including undertaking design related to tower cranes and hoists, in particular: the design of crane bases and ties in structural steel, along with mobile crane planning.

    You'll be responsible for problem solving lifting solutions, designing them and managing CAD technicians who would be modelling on to the permanent works models to assess adequacy of the solution and manage interfaces between the two.

    Your profile

    • A degree or Masters qualification in Civil, Structural Engineering or a related field
    • Work experience, ideally in the discipline of interest (desirable)
    • A passion for problem solving and ‘thinking outside the box'
    • An interest to continue learning and developing yourself
    • A full driving licence (essential)
