As a Graduate in Finance, reporting to the Senior Business Finance Manager, you will work as a Project Financial Controller (PFC) for EURO Region, part of Business Finance team. Our team is responsible for project financial control, financial performance reporting & forecasting for significant projects or programmes across SITA.
The role
As a Graduate, you will first get all necessary training. First part will concentrate on getting familiar with our processes and tools. Then you will start to assist in our daily PFC activities such as running reports, filling billing templates, tracking customer raised purchase orders, work with Cash & Collections team to resolve customer queries, help to prepare PowerPoint presentations.
The second part of the training will concentrate on accounting transactions, preparation of accrual/deferrals/prepayment templates, understanding and analysing monthly expenses and balance sheet reconciliations. After this training you will start to have regular interactions with Project Managers and other stakeholders and you will be able to provide financial support to the Project team members, Finance team members and the worldwide accounting organisation.
What you will do
- To support and assist the PFC in the day-to-day admin task related to Project Finance
- To work collaboratively with other SITA teams to resolve issues affecting cash collection.
- To support and assist the PFC in the day-to-day accounting tasks such as preparing journals, review actuals vs forecast, helping to understand variances.
Who you are
- University degree at Bachelor level in a finance, business or economic related field.
- Reasonable understanding of Finance & Accounting.
- Good knowledge in MS Office applications such as MS Office, particularly Excel, Power BI
- Fluent verbal and written communication skills in English, any other languages will be an advantage
- Precise and reliable with figures
- Strong relationship management skills and able to work across culturally diverse teams
- Effective communication and negotiation skills
- Must have less than 12 months’ post graduate experience, excluding undergraduate placement/ internship experience
- Must be eligible to work in the United Kingdom without the need for a work permit / sponsorship.
