    We are looking for a Construction Management graduate to join our 2023 development programme and help us shape the future within our Building Team in Gloucester.

    The Opportunity

    You will work on the VSSP (Vehicle Storage and Support Programme) Project, which is based in Tewksbury in Gloucestershire. This is a Ministry of Defence (MoD) contract where Skanska are providing a modern, sustainable, and future-proof storage solution for over 4100 tracked & wheeled British Army vehicles ready for deployment.

    The programme provides a pathway to develop a complete skill set developing both technical and interpersonal skills. This includes courses, on-the-job learning, working in teams to solve business challenges, and building a strong professional network, all while improving the business.

    What you will do

    • Monitor and support the supervision of trade-contractors as well as the labour and material requirements for the contract
    • Ensure our operatives are working to the latest programme of works, are signed up to the relevant method statements and check they understand what is required
    • Be involved in quality and compliance
    • Log and resolve any defects found and challenge current methodology by putting forward innovative ideas

    Who you are

    • Studying towards degree level, or having completed a degree, in a construction related subject that is accredited by the CIOB
    • Have excellent communications skills and attention to detail
    • Values driven and passionate about sustainability
    • Commercially minded
    • Enthusiastic about learning and developing new ways of thinking
    • Ability to pass high security clearance. In order to pass, both UK and non-UK subjects must have lived in the UK in the last 5 years
    • Driving licence preferable due to the remote location of the project
