    As part of a joint venture with Anglian Water, Skanska are seeking a Graduate Environmental Advisor to join our infrastructure team on the new Cambridge Relocation Scheme. This project for Anglian Water involves designing and constructing a new greenfield Waste Water Treatment Plant, which will support future economic development in the Greater Cambridge area and create a sustainable water and recycling service.

    What you'll do

    • Assist the project environmental team with the day-to-day environmental requirements of the project & assist in the delivery of environmental training
    • Coordinate the compilation of project environmental measures and performance
    • Carry out site inspections ensuring the environmental management standard is implemented will be a primary focus
    • As directed, promote continuous improvement of environmental / sustainability performance of the project
    • Research and outline the case for sustainable initiatives
    • Ensure that project environmental documentation is maintained and up to date
    • Be familiar with the project environmental management system and its requirements
    • Provide direction, support and assistance to all project personnel to enable them to manage their environmental duties and responsibilities
    • Assist in the development and delivery of suitable environmental and sustainability training for all project staff
    • Represent and promote the Environment Department in meetings, workshops, management reviews and forums
    • Raise environment/sustainability awareness and community relations awareness (where appointed)
    • Support external liaison with regulators i.e. Environment Agency, Local Authorities etc
    • Continuously promote and seek recognition from the client and external bodies (e.g. Award bodies) thereby demonstrating visible environmental excellence throughout the project

    What you'll bring to the role

    • Ideally studying towards or having completed a degree in an Environment related degree
    • Values driven and passionate about sustainability
    • Enthusiastic about learning and developing new ways of thinking
    • Able to communicate complex information to a wide range of audiences
    • You have a strong interest in innovation, sustainability and making a positive impact
    • You work collaboratively towards shared goals and targets
    • You are motivated to work in site-based environment
    • This role requires visits to sites. As such, we would expect you to have a driving licence or work towards obtaining one within your first year of working with us
