    What you’ll be doing  

    During this 12-month programme, you’ll experience 4x two-month rotations across Sky News before choosing one of those teams to join for the final four months.

    Rotations could include:

    • Junior Journalist - working with our planning, research, and newsgathering teams to spot and develop the best stories.
    • Junior Audio/Podcast Producer - learning how we create content for a range of different audio projects.
    • Junior Text Producer - responsible for researching, writing, and creating the news straps that appear on screen.
    • Junior Digital Producer - learning how the social media and digital teams create engaging content.
    • Junior Studio MSO (multi skilled operator) - working with the Eng cameras, studio, and gallery teams behind the live and packaged TV coverage.

    Programme facts

    • This role is based in Osterley.
    • Programme duration is 12-months.
    • Expected start October 2023.

    What we’re looking for

    This programme is aimed at anyone aged 18 or over by 15th October 2023 that is not currently studying at university or a graduate.

    • An interest in the news and telling stories.
    • Ready for a challenge, adaptable and keen to learn from new experiences.

    Your application journey

    Step 1 - Complete our application form by entering your details and academic information - don't forget to include any previous work or experience that you've had. As part of the form, you'll be asked a number of questions to find out what you know about Sky and why you've applied to this specific programme.

    Step 2 - You'll be invited to complete a digital assessment. This stage will ask you a number of different scenarios to look at how you respond in specific situations. We’ll be looking at your behavioural and cognitive strengths. Responses to these questions vary from written answers, to recorded video.

    Step 3 - For the final stage of your application, we’ll invite you to a digital assessment centre and give you some tasks to get to know you better. The day will give you a practical insight into the role and will assess your Sky fit for TV and media.

    Once you’ve completed your assessment day, we’ll let you know when you can expect to hear back from us.
