    SLR have an excellent opportunity for a Graphic Designer to join our Transport and Mobility Planning Team.

    You will play an integral part of our forward-thinking Transport and Mobility Planning team and undertake a wide variety of activities to help build and promote our business, including the development of visual materials to support project reports, bids, tenders and marketing materials. This role can be based in any of our UK offices.

    The role

    You will work with people across SLR and take responsibility for providing expertise in respect of visual figures and graphics for reports, presentations and wider material. Experience within the property or construction industry would be ideal, but other backgrounds will be considered.

    Key responsibilities will include

    • Working with colleagues to prepare visually strong and effective material for inclusion with reports, presentations and the SLR website;
    • Working with colleagues to collaboratively develop and refine graphics work;
    • Compiling bid and submission documents in InDesign or similar software, often to tight deadlines;
    • Presenting multimodal concepts in captivating and original ways, reflecting the vision and ethos of the company;
    • Managing time effectively to meet deadlines and demands from across the business;

    About you

    You will have an enthusiastic attitude to all aspects of visual communication and will enjoy the challenge of developing new ways of presentation. Other skills, experience and knowledge you possess are:

    • A degree in Graphic Design or relevant equivalent;
    • Previous experience using software such as Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and Microsoft PowerPoint in a commercial corportate design context;
    • A creative flair and strong visual sense;
    • Excellent written and verbal communication;
    • The confidence and ability to present and explain your ideas;
    • The ability to develop strong relationships across the business, understanding differing requirements;
    • The ability to compile, format and proofread reports and documents, often to tight deadlines;
    • An awareness of the competitive business environment.

    Although not essential, the below would also be beneficial:

    • A portfolio of material within the transport planning, urban design, or architectural fields;
    • Previous experience as a graphic designer in a property, planning or consultancy environment;
    • Experience of video animation in the property or construction fields.
