The role

We are currently seeking interns who are working towards acquiring a BS in Computer Science/Masters in CS, or equivalent, for a 12-week internship contract during the summer of 2024. This programme will allow you to help support the Technology and Product teams across the organisation.

In this position, you will be able to assist the team with specific projects and get the unique experience needed to see if a future working in technology is right for you!

In this role, you will be responsible for helping to get ML models working in production to solve problems.

How will you contribute

  • Design and develop features mainly in Java based languages for enterprise grade products.
  • Use Agile methodologies to deliver high quality software
  • Write and validate unit and integration tests
  • Collaborate on code reviews and update functional specifications
  • Work on developing internal tools to facilitate
  • Gain personal development following guidance from senior team members.

What will you bring

  • Studying toward a BSc in Computer Science or related field.
  • Programming skills in relevant languages.
  • Knowledge/Experience in MongoDB, Elastic Search, k8s, S3 and other cloud based technologies.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desired technical experience

  • Proficiency with a JVM language - Java, Angular etc.
  • Knowledge of modern software architecture.
  • Experience or interest in working on enterprise grade products specializing in compliant archival.

Location

  • This is a remote position with the expectation for the candidate to travel to Cambridge at least once per month to join in person workshops with the team.
