The programme

Our finance internship programme has been designed for penultimate year students. You will spend a minimum of 8 weeks gaining hands-on experience within our finance department, contributing to our business and working on real projects.

Our internships are fully assessed, with successful candidates being offered the chance to enrol on our full-time programme upon graduation where you will spend three years working across Smiths Group, completing a number of rotations (examples of some areas you may work in are: internal audit, financial planning and analysis, general accounting, tax & treasury and the opportunity to spend one of your rotations working abroad in one of our businesses) whilst gaining an accredited ACCA qualification.

You will be supported by a graduate programme manager to ensure that you reach your potential and have the skills you need to succeed in the organisation.

About you

  • On target for minimum 2:1 in any degree subject
  • In penultimate year of study
  • Strong interest in finance and business
  • Committed and able to work in a changing environment
  • Strong social and relationship skills
  • Self-starter and self-sufficient - will hit the ground running
  • Additional languages desired but not essential
  • Strong desire to work across a global business
