    John Crane is seeking a Graduate Engineer for the Shannon facility, which manufactures welded metal bellows.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a Graduate Engineer to join a leading player in the industry. The role will provide exposure to aspects of engineering incorporating industrial, manufacturing, projects, and product.

    The role will also entail working as part of the Site Management Team in the execution of its day -to-day duties, longer-term plans and programs.

    Along with people management, project management and CI (Continuous improvement), this role will provide the successful candidate with exposure to all areas of the organisation.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    • Provide manufacturing engineering support (Process, Equipment and Product).
    • Work with the Site Management team – supporting and contributing to short-term, medium-term and strategic business plans.
    • Participate in the day-to-day management of the site.
    • Develop extensive product knowledge to provide effective input to support the business.
    • Identify new technologies (process and equipment) and manage implementation projects from inception through to delivery and handover.
    • Engage with Product Design and Applications groups globally to provide manufacturing support.
    • Work with global and regional engineers during new product development and implementation with a strong focus on Design for Manufacture considerations.
    • Support staff on defined projects by providing technical evaluations and relevant documentation.
    • Ability to communicate effectively, providing written and verbal feedback and inputs.
    • Support compliance with ISO standards that the site has achieved.
    • Deliver assigned projects and tasks.
    • Assist in root cause analyses utilizing established problem-solving tools and methodologies
    • Additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

    The Individual

    • A degree in an Engineering discipline such as Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering or relevant experience is desirable.
    • Proven record of delivering on projects and achievement of results.
    • Motivated self-starter with the determination and drive to succeed.
    • Strong leadership and communication skills.
    • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work well in a team and on your own initiative.
    • Ability to work with John Crane and Customers globally.
    • Excellent IT skills, particularly in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. A knowledge of CAD and Project Management packages is desirable.
