    About the Department

    SOAS Development Studies offers a range of degree programmes at undergraduate, postgraduate taught and PhD levels. Research expertise and teaching in the department is inter-disciplinary combining political economy, politics, anthropology, and history in terms of approaches to analyse processes of development in different contexts around the world.

    Staff specialise in a range of thematic areas including sustainability and climate change, migration and displacement, conflict, humanitarian action, labour, political ecology, and aid and institutions. The department is ranked second in the world for Development Studies by the QS World University Rankings, 2022.

    About the Role

    Graduate associate student interns will contribute to specific research activities of the AHRC-funded project Border Crossings.

    This will entail assisting the investigators on the project with gathering, organising, and processing material for the project’s planned research and web-based outputs.

    About You

    You will need to demonstrate good communication and organisational skills and have a willingness to conduct primary and secondary research for the project. You should have some experience of conducting independent research at either Undergraduate or Master’s level.
