    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Description of the Business Line or Department

    Global Markets is a trusted partner to Corporates and Financial Institutions in market activities, offering a cross-expertise in Investment and Risk Solutions, Execution and Prime Services, and Research.

    The candidate will join the Business Transformation & Oversight team responsible for the UK platform of Global Markets. The team’s main responsibilities are to steer the Global Markets activities in the UK, drive their transformation and oversee their operational chains, financials, and risks.

    The position is based in London.

    Summary of the key purposes of the role

    Key purposes:

    • Assist the Business Transformation & Oversight team in the UK and the Chief Operating Officer for MARK in the UK in supervising the Global Markets UK platform
    • Take an active part in ongoing transversal projects impacting the UK platform of Global Markets
    • Automation and digitalization of regular reports on key regulatory and business metrics for Global Markets UK, and regular production and monitoring of these

    Summary of responsibilities

    Main responsibilities:

    • Leverage on the internal digital platform ‘SG Markets’ to develop new tools and dashboards, and digitalize existing management reports while improving existing processes
    • Support the project team in managing new UK Client Strategy initiatives
    • Lead the production and further automation of regular management reporting, e.g. monitoring of Staff, KYC, New Products, P&L and Cost metrics, while ensuring a proper follow-up on action plans internally within Global Markets and with our partners (e.g. Finance, Risk, Compliance, KYC teams etc.)
    • Support the roadmap of the Future of Work set-up for UK Trading and Sales teams including technological enhancements and change management
    • Assist the Business Transformation & Oversight team in the UK in regulatory and business monitoring topics impacting the Global Markets UK platform and its local governance
    • Provide ad-hoc support and analysis regarding the Global Markets UK activity while help oversee the day-to-day operations
    • Follow-up projects meant to address gaps in our organization, processes, or systems in relation to Sales and Trading governance issues
    • Contribute and play an active role to the Business Transformation & Oversight and the wider Global Markets community in the UK

    PROFILE REQUIRED

    Competencies 

    • Experience in the financial services industry or consultancy preferred
    • Excellent skills in Excel and Powerpoint
    • Elementary proficiency in Python and/or VBA required, advanced proficiency preferred
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
    • Capacity to prioritize and organize
    • Strong analytical skills
    • Teamwork & cooperation spirit
    • Dynamic, resilient, and able to work under pressure with good attention to detail
    • Proactive in learning and adaptive to changes
