    RISK DIVISION (RISQ)

    Risk Management in the UK is organised along a three lines of defence model with well-defined and segregated responsibilities aligned with the Group framework, as well as applicable local regulatory requirements and guidance. RISQ is part of the second line of defence and aims to independently analyse, challenge, opine on and monitor the risk-taking activities of the Business Lines thereby enabling effective execution of the Bank’s strategy in line with its risk appetite.

    Summary of the key purposes of the role

    The COO Trainee will be part of RISQ COO team. RISQ COO provides transversal support, report and monitor risks inherent to the department and act as corporate secretariat for the department. The main purpose of the role is to support RISQ COO team in its mission.

    Summary of responsibilities

    Assist the RISQ COO team in:

    COO transversal tasks:

    ·       Monitoring of RISQ budget, headcount and costs

    ·       Coordination of management information, including at Board level, and RISQ dashboard

    ·       Management of RISQ Normative documentation

    ·       Preparation of presentation for various committees

    ·       Preparation of All-Staff meetings and communications

    ·       Team development initiatives, New joiners, C&C and DEI

    ·       Management of key projects

    Operational Risk Management:

    ·       Continuous improvement of RISQ control framework (using the group tools)

    ·       Monitoring of the relevant KRI’S and KPI’S associated with control framework

    ·       Preparation of Operational Risk Committee presentation

    ·       Monitoring of external services agreement

    ·       Monitoring of internal/external recommendations  

    Governance:

    ·       Drafting and coordinating agendas of various committees, including at Board level

    ·       Compiling support documents

    ·       Preparing draft minutes, following-up actions
