    Operating from our Banff site, an opportunity has arisen for a capable and organised individual to join our team and support the smooth running of the Agriculture Administration function.

    Sofina Agriculture operates across 37 locations managed by our own staff, as well as over 100 contract farmers for whom we purchase feed. A key element of this role is to ensure proper process is followed for the purchase of goods and services by these locations my managing, processing and reporting on purchase order requests and approvals. The Finance Assistant will work closely with the Site Director, Herd Manager, Area Managers, Fields Team and Finance Team in this role.

    Key accountabilities

    • Maintaining PO tracker on Teams, ensuring purchase orders are approved and receipted in a timely manner.
    • Ensuring due process is followed for spend requests by any member of the Agriculture Team.
    • Maintaining, goods receipting and reporting on harvest straw
    • Maintaining, goods receipting and reporting on contractor costs
    • Maintaining, goods receipting and reporting on repair costs
    • Maintaining, goods receipting and reporting on agency labour

    Skills and experience required

    • Strong organisation skills, working to tight deadlines
    • Strong, clear communication skills at all levels
    • Good Excel knowledge
