    Solihull Council are looking for 2 graduates with an interest in analytics and business improvement to join our Graduate programmes starting in Summer/Autumn 2022.

    These 12 month fixed term graduate internships are a great opportunity to gain exposure to a forward thinking local authority; helping to improve lives and services for the residents of Solihull.

    Our Graduates will be working within one of two key areas – Commissioning (Adult Care & Support) or Business Intelligence and Improvement (Resources).

    Commissioning

    Our commissioning team are responsible for strategy and service development within the Adult Care and Support Directorate. The team research best practice, analyse local need and service availability and develop strategies and services to support improved care for vulnerable adults within the borough.

    As a Graduate Commissioner, you will provide support to the team with data analysis, research of emerging practice and engaging with partners and residents to develop services.

    Business Intelligence & Improvement

    Our Business Intelligence & Improvement Division support the delivery of key Council plan priorities by conducting research and analysing intelligence, programme management and policy development.  The team also establish, review and plan approaches to encourage and embed business improvement across Solihull Council.

    As a Graduate within Business Intelligence & Improvement, you will become a key part of a number of high profile projects in support of the Council Plans’ key priorities.

    37.0 Hours per Week

    You will have

    • A degree in any subject, with an interest in analytics, finance or business improvement.
    • Knowledge and understanding of the role and responsibilities of a local authority.
    • Experience of analysing, interpreting, and summarising varied information from a variety of sources and providing clear recommendations.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise reports and prepare and deliver effective presentations.
    • Ability to organise work and be responsive to meet deadlines, manage competing demands and work well under pressure
