We are looking for candidates with a keen interest in pursuing a career in technology. You will join us as a Graduate Digital Consultant as part of both our Delivery and Business Consulting practices, where we’ll provide you with all the support and training required to develop into a well-rounded consultant.
This role offers you the opportunity to work in high performing teams on a range of projects, from large transformation programmes to bespoke solution development, and to work closely with users to understand their needs, before translating this understanding into agile delivery items.
We recognise that graduates may not yet know where they want to specialise, so to help you decide your ideal pathway and give you a breadth of experience, you will have the opportunity to try different roles on different projects before honing in on your chosen specialisms.
Candidates should be open to working in different locations for different clients. Although most of our work is in London, candidates should be happy to travel as client needs dictate.
Main duties
As a Graduate Delivery Business Consultant, you will be:
- Applying your technical awareness together with your communication and problem-solving skills to understand and solve client problems.
- Working closely with users to understand their needs, before translating this understanding into agile delivery items.
- Applying your general technical skills and knowledge to influence technology decision-making, ensuring it provides a great, accessible user experience.
- Working with (and in some cases building) a delivery team, ensuring they are motivated, collaborative and work well together for better outcomes.
- Acting as an interface between client stakeholders and the delivery team.
- Planning and facilitating workshops, reporting on progress and identifying obstacles for the team to overcome.
- Assisting with internal projects and practice development across both Delivery and Business Consulting.
Typically, you will work on a particular project for 6-12 months before moving on to a new challenge. You will be part of a larger team, working with and learning from experienced consultants. As well as on-the-job support from our senior consultants, you will also take part in a structured training plan consisting of in-person and virtual training courses, and your ongoing training plan will be flexible to your chosen pathway.
About you
Candidates should have a strong academic background and demonstrate a genuine interest in technology. We are looking for people who are logical, critical thinkers, who enjoy tackling different problems in a structured way without stifling creativity and innovation. Our consultants should be highly motivated self-starters, have great interpersonal and communication skills, integrity, and a strong desire to deliver the best possible results for our clients.
- A good quality degree, or relevant professional qualification.
- Interest and aptitude for digital technology, either via your chosen degree or other means if your degree is non-technical or scientific.
- Excellent communication skills; with the ability to communicate with delivery teams and both internal and external stakeholders ensuring both technical and non-technical stakeholders are all on the same page.
- Ability to actively address internal risks and issues, and know when to escalate them.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies, and some awareness of how to use Agile tools.
- An understanding of digital development processes would be beneficial.
- An understanding of the software development lifecycle including product lifecycle, project delivery, and broader business experience is desirable.
