We focus on understanding our client’s business and work with them to deliver change that makes their business more effective. We are able to support our clients with their strategy, technical design, user experience, software development and delivery into live service.

    We are specifically looking for talented, enthusiastic individuals who are interested in a career in technology and user experience (UX) to join us as part of our Business Consulting Practice. Business Consulting spans all stages of the digital delivery lifecycle, from strategy development to solution implementation. This role offers you the opportunity to work in high-performing teams in a range of projects from large transformation programmes to bespoke solution development, with a range of clients using a broad range of technology solutions.

    About you

    Candidates should have a strong academic background and demonstrate a genuine interest in human-centred technology. We are looking for people who are logical, critical thinkers, who enjoy tackling different problems in a structured way without stifling creativity and innovation. Our consultants should be highly motivated self starters, have great interpersonal and communication skills, integrity and a strong desire to deliver the best possible solutions for our clients.

    We find that our UX consultants in the highest demand have a very broad knowledge base, and at least some experience of all areas (but likely to have specialist knowledge in one or two). We recognize that graduates may not yet know where they want to specialise. We want our graduates to experience a broad range of activities and then hone in on the areas that suit their interests and skills.

    Candidates should be open to working in different locations for different clients. Although most of our work is in London, candidates should be happy to travel as client needs dictate.

    Main duties

    • Understanding user needs and client stakeholder requirements through workshops, interviews and other research techniques. 
    • Mapping user journeys, flows and business processes. 
    • Developing user profiles, personas and developing agile user stories.
    • Defining information architecture and designing content. 
    • Developing and iterating wireframes / prototypes to test with users and validate product decision making. 
    • Using user / customer data (web analytics, user research, surveys) to pull out insights and finding ways to creatively, but concisely communicate these to project teams and client stakeholders 
    • Helping with internal projects and practice development 

    When you join, you will take part in our software delivery and consultancy training, before joining one of our projects to help us deliver the latest generation of digital online services for one of our public or private sector clients.

    Specialist skills required

    • Enthusiastic, motivated, committed and capable degree educated individuals
    • Genuine interest in human-centred technology 
    • The ability to take a pragmatic design approach and work within constraints (time, budget, context) to ensure the best outcome for user and and client alike.Problem solving and Analytical skills 
    • Some understanding of the digital development processes 
    • Willingness to continually learn 
    • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken word with an ability to successfully engage with team members and clients 
    • Other, broader business experience is desirable, but not essential 
    • Other science/technology experience is desirable but not essential 
    • Awareness of project delivery/agile methodologies is desirable but not essential
