Columbia Records is a premier frontline label of Sony Music Entertainment. Its roster features some of the most famous names in music history including Bob Dylan, Patti Smith and Bruce Springsteen, alongside some of the finest cutting-edge artists in the world today such as Calvin Harris, Rosalía and Koffee. Founded in 1887, Columbia is the oldest surviving brand name in pre-recorded sound and home to an array of notable singers, instrumentalists and groups. From 1961 to 1990, its recordings were released outside the U.S. and Canada on the CBS Records label before adopting the Columbia name in most of the world. The President of Columbia Records in the UK is Ferdy Unger-Hamilton. The Managing Director is Manish Arora.
The Role
You will be responsible for the marketing administration and coordination within the Marketing team. You will establish yourself as a point of contact for any queries relating to these areas by forging strong relationships across the business and with external contacts.

What you’ll do
- To provide administrative support to a team of marketing professionals, correspondence, promo stock, answering general enquiries, ticket ordering, arranging travel etc
- Work closely with multiple areas of the business (radio, press, TV etc) as well as communicate with artists, management and third-party suppliers (where applicable).
- Have a digital awareness. Keeping abreast of market developments, new technologies and market conditions.
- Suggest concepts and ideas, inputting into creative meetings, and the general creative process.
- Create Purchase Orders for all marketing related invoices and ensuring these are assigned to the correct project and accounted for in the related budget.
- Ensure that all single/album related assets (e.g. artwork, label copy) are up to date and saved on Sony’s box system
- Ensure that all artwork/production deadlines are met.
- Traffic commercials to relevant broadcasters via hardcopy or digital delivery.
- Pitch new audio releases to MCNs, delivering new videos to Promostream, MTV and VEVO, and creating smartlinks and video descriptions for new releases.
- Collate weekly agendas, minute-taking and circulating marketing and media campaign information with marketing and wider team(s)
Who you are
- Someone who is on the ball and proactive in creating their own success
- A knowledge of the Columbia roster
- Strong computer skills, especially MS Office suite.
- Admin experience in a busy environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly organised and can multi-task while remaining calm under pressure.
- Ability to prioritise workload, goals, targets and time, and to work independently.
- Proven self-starter.
- Confidently deals with people at all levels internally & externally.
- A team player who can be relied upon to participate as needed during busy periods.
- A passion to learn & develop.

Things to note
- We do not require you to have a degree or qualification in order to apply for this internship but you do need to be over 18+.
