    Columbia Records is a premier frontline label of Sony Music Entertainment.     The Role 

    The successful intern will provide effective, consistent and confidential administrative support to the Radio & Streaming team and regional radio consultants. They will act as the main office based point of contact and represent the team impeccably, keeping up to date with schedules and information needed to communicate effectively on behalf of the team 

    The Team 

    The radio and streaming promotions department in Columbia is an exciting, fast paced, forward-thinking, front-line department. We are among the very first to hear brand new music and are responsible for managing strategy and promotion for artists across UK radio and streaming platforms. It’s a busy department, but a very rewarding one, at the centre of every artist campaign – from when they are first signed, to when they are headlining their first arena!  We are a close-knit group and work brilliantly as a team, helping each other to achieve our goals and being there to support each other as much as possible. We celebrate each other’s successes, and we are there to support when things aren’t going as we’d hoped! 

    What you’ll do

    • Work closely with Marketing, Sales and A&R teams to collate assets and create updates for us and our partners across radio and
    • Use the Spotify pitching tool to input all new releases into the Spotify system and chase up the relevant teams if they aren’t.
    • Keep up to date on Spotify playlists and where Columbia artists are featured
    • Keep across radio playlists and airplay using Radiomonitor, monitoring where Columbia artists and other artists are featured, sending updates to the team
    • Update radio release schedules weekly
    • Service music releases (digitally and occasionally physically) with all the relevant assets
    • Create promotion schedules
    • Assist and occasionally cover radio promotion, including in person and connecting radio interviews via the phone. (sometimes organising artist riders etc), helping at live sessions
    • Book meetings both internally and externally alongside booking any travel or arrangements required.
    • Be responsible for all general admin including purchase orders, monitoring payments, sending bikes, ordering stationery and stock control this to be done on a daily basis. Ensuring gig tickets are requested by the deadline.

    • An awareness of radio, or previous work in radio would be a bonus.

    Things to note

    • We do not require you to have a degree or qualification in order to apply for this internship but you do need to be over 18+.
    • The start date for the programme will be in January 2022
