4th Floor Creative is Sony Music Entertainment UK’s in-house creative & strategy hub, launched in 2018 to unite Brand Partnerships, Sync, Visual Creative, Podcasting, Digital and Audience Development. Led by music industry powerhouse Cassandra Gracey, the London-based division works with Sony Music’s iconic labels – including Columbia, RCA, Commercial Group, Ministry of Sound, Black Butter, Relentless, Insanity – to orchestrate best-in-class activations and amplify artist and brand stories to connect with a global audience.
The Team
The CRM & Owned Platforms team is part of Sony Music UK’s Audience Development function (alongside Analytics and Insight), sitting within the central UK creative department, 4th Floor Creative. The team looks after CRM, artist and label websites, web development and the Sony Music UK website and social media channels.
The Role
CRM revolves around the 360° view of the fan - a strategic initiative to capture and compile fans’ demographic, transactional and behavioural information from multiple touch points, and then use that information for hyper-targeted and personalised messaging in the pursuit of the best possible fan experience at the lowest possible marketing cost. This role is an integral support function for the team and you’d be actively involved in a growing area of the business.
What you’ll do
- Work with the labels to strategise, build and manage labels’ and artists’ owned audiences
- Use Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Movable Ink and other licensed CRM tools to create and continuously enrich a 360° view of the fan through demographic, behavioural and transactional data
- Create digital mechanics (such as competitions, sign up forms, follow & saves) and set up associated marketing automation workflows to create cross marketing opportunities and regular plays via streaming partners, all in accordance with GDPR and UK Data Protection legislation
- Design and execute email marketing campaigns
- Represent CRM at artist planning and label meetings. Offer sound CRM strategy to ensure CRM is a core strategic component in all digital marketing campaigns
- Collaborate with in-house e-commerce team ‘Kontraband’ to deliver incentivised pre-order campaigns and drive music and merchandise sales
- Provide comprehensive campaign reporting and actionable insights
- Ensure the use of dynamic, affiliated links
- Provide support and cover for the Sony Music UK social media channels

- You have working knowledge of Photoshop

- We do not require you to have a degree or qualification in order to apply for this internship but you do need to be over 18+.
