We are seeking a Placement Student with a passion for technology to become our Engineering Intern. Sony’s engineering department is the fundament of everything we do. The Home Entertainment & Sound group is a TV design team responsible for the design, specification, testing and launch of Bravia TV-related products into European markets.
Throughout this placement, you will be involved in expanding the automated test capability within the software verification team. You will operate alongside the experienced developers to develop automatic test capabilities of Bravia televisions, capture and track requirements, analyse data, and compare the TV behaviour against specifications.
This 13-month paid placement will give you the opportunity to learn and immerse yourself in what it means to be an Engineer in a multinational technology organisation and to understand where your Engineering career could take you.
Your Profile
- Studying for an undergraduate degree which makes you eligible for a 12-month placement starting summer 2023. Preferred degree in Engineering, Technology, Computer Science or similar
- Prior experience with Python coding language
- Good understanding of Android engineering and Artificial Intelligence
- Self-motivated, organised and inquisitive individual who is not afraid to challenge and be challenged
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- English language (written and spoken)
Our Recruitment Process
The job posting will be open until 6th of November 2022. Afterwards, the selected candidates will be invited to perform a recorded video interview.
In December, the best-performing candidates will be invited to an interview with the Engineering team (in our office or virtually). We are aiming to finalise our recruitment process by the end of December.
