The role
Sony Global Treasury Services is a unique Sony business, where we operate as an in-house bank and hub for providing payments, funding and forex hedging services, communicating directly with banks in pursuit of optimal financial solutions to meet businesses’ needs.
Your role here will be dynamic. There are large funds in multi currencies moving daily between our businesses and banks, which is great if you are seeking experience in both businesses and financial markets. You will have frequent interaction with other Sony Global Treasury Services centres in US, Singapore, China, and with Tokyo’s finance teams, giving you a global finance exposure. You will also be interacting with banks to gain insights of the latest trend in capital markets to plan tailor made solutions for a diverse business needs.

You will
- Support funding arrangements for businesses
- Provide internal lending facility to meet business needs after assessing funding needs and seasonality of businesses
- Cash Flow management for European and Latin American businesses, through collection and analysis of forecasts from businesses to be used for group-wide funding planning
- Support Forex Hedging Planning
- Execute multi currencies hedging requests from businesses through detailed analysis of commercial flows, report aggregate hedge position for the treasury team to hedge with banks
- Plan and implement foreign currency hedging mechanisms in countries with currency restrictions
- Financial Planning, including forex risk management, of the intermediary holding company
You will bring
- Relevant university degree in the areas of Finance, Economics or Accounting
- A keen interest to work in a Treasury function
- A good understanding of analysing data and using Excel functions, i.e. pivot tables, v-look up, sumIF etc.
