    Function

    Sopra Banking Software is recruiting a Performance Test Analyst to join our existing team. The Test Analyst is required to perform any performance testing activities typically undertaken within the software Implementation lifecycle and is responsible for test script creation and execution.

    There are four principal elements of the role:

    1. Analysis, Planning, and Preparation – Identifying non-functional test conditions and creating test plans, test approaches, and scripts.

    2. Test Execution – Execution of non-functional test scripts, capturing evidence, and interpreting data and graphs, helping the team to analyse and resolve issues

    3. Defect lifecycle – accurately record, review and retest defects found in the system under test.

    4. Providing a test report.

    Responsibilities:

    Adhere to standards and best practices throughout the testing phases of the software development lifecycle and any testing stages of any development project.

    • To examine business requirements
    • To assess the service level agreement and their objectives
    • To create, upgrade and maintain the performance test scripts in line with business requirements.
    • To document suitable test data that is representative of customer business practices.
    • To carry out performance tests and apply consistent monitoring metrics
    • Agree on all estimates and time schedules for the work allocated, with the Test Lead and communicate progress and changes promptly.
    • To effectively escalate important issues affecting the testing process by reporting exceptions to the Test Lead.
    • To contribute to an ongoing improvement through the testing standards, the overall development methodology, or any other processes.
    • To help junior test team members in resolving their technical queries and issues
    • The Test Analyst will be measured against their ability to accurately Analyse and test design requirements and record the nature of any fault/issue ensuring that a performant solution is delivered to our customers.

    We seek a contractor who is experienced in;

    • Jmeter
    • Selenium
    • Load Runner Cloud
    • Aws

    You would also be expected to have experience in some of the following;

    • Performance testing experience (Client-server/Web services architecture)
    • Strong understanding of performance testing E2E (Workload modeling/Execution/Report analysis/Recommendations for improvement)
    • Experience in identifying test conditions and scenarios from design documents and writing scripts to test the scenarios
    • Working experience in load testing different protocols
    • Working experience in performance testing of Citrix applications
    • Good working experience in monitoring tools (Logic Monitor/App Dynamics/)
    • Knowledge of API /web services testing tools, such as Postman, SoapUl
    • Good working experience in Jenkins/Git/Docker
