    Overview of your Role

    Are you a graduate of IT and looking to begin your career in the world of Information Technology? Or do you have some work experience but want to develop this further? If so, we might have the perfect opportunity for you!

    We are growing our Telemetry team (which is part of our application services team) and are able to offer the opportunity to join us at an entry level basis where you will be provided with amazing training, support and development during an exciting transformation journey.

    You will be exposed to a vast amount of technology both new and old and will help us strategically change and improve the way that we deliver our IT support and services which will have a great impact on the environment and our customers.

    Responsibilities 

    • Develop a full understanding of the whole telemetry system and how it integrates with other systems both internal and external to the company.
    • System health checks/monitoring performance of the telemetry system overall and resolving issues detected, either in-person or through liaison with senior Telemetry Specialist Engineers.
    • End to End testing of new and existing configuration.
    • Telemetry database maintenance and configuration.
    • Ensure that project and business application support documentation is maintained and accurate.

    After completing training and achieving competence, the role will also require:

    • Provide 1st & 2nd line support (L2-3 as applicable) for business applications under role scope.
    • Out of hours first-line support to the Telemetry System hardware and software 24x7 standby rota.

    About You

    You might be a graduate in Computer Science, Programming or Database Administration, have a A-level or equivalent in IT or Maths/Science or have some relevant work experience in Information Technology.

    Either way, you will have excellent communication skills, adaptability and being a great team player. A passion for problem solving and a love for IT is essential as is knowledge of at least one programming language (e.g. C+).

    A full driving licence is desirable as is knowledge of Telemetry and/or any of the following: IIoT, data acquisition, control systems products.
