    We are seeking a talented and motivated Manufacturing Engineer to join our dynamic team.

    Role summary

    As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and process integrity within our manufacturing plant. This role will be an important part of a multifunction team that drives the transition of the pump assembly area to an agile assembly system that will meet the future demands of customers and enable the achievement of Excellence in Manufacturing within the Pump assembly area. You will achieve performance improvements and enable volume growth whilst setting the standard for existing and new product assembly cells. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to optimise manufacturing workflows, implement quality assurance measures, and drive continuous improvement initiatives

    What you’ll be doing

    • Safety
    • Collaboratively resolve health and safety concerns within the assembly production area
    • Report health and safety concerns as required in line with company guidance
    • Participate in risk assessments of production and manufacturing engineering processes

    Quality and compliance

    • To ensure compliance to regulatory procedures which includes responsibility for quality within assembly and wider company.
    • Ensure compliance with Change Management. Raise and implement: ECOs (Engineering Changes), concessions/deviations and CRNs
    • Implement corrective actions to overcome problems including visiting suppliers if required.

    Delivery

    • To drive continuous improvement projects using appropriate tools and techniques such as Lean Six Sigma to optimise productivity of the Pump assembly process
    • To design and arrange supply or manufacture of jigs & fixtures, assembly aids, special purpose machinery & inspection equipment for assembly, ensuring that it is safe and delivers the required performance/quality.
    • Responsible for pump production routing file information.
    • Responsible for specifying and purchasing tools & gauges.
    • Provide front line fault finding and diagnostics on pump assembly equipment.
    • Maintain and optimise the site ERP system
    • To assist in the reporting and solving of production problems and customer complaints where applicable.
    • To propose, justify and specify new processes and equipment for improving productivity and quality
    • To oversee the training of operatives on new machines / processes.
    • To produce & maintain standard operating procedures including Visual Aids
    • Support the delivery of Operational Excellence framework

    New product introduction

    • Support New Product Development (NPD) teams to ensure that all manufacturing requirements are satisfied prior to product launches

    Who you’ll be working with

    You can expect to be working closely with Production, Facilities, EHS, TPM, CI, Quality, Group Engineering teams and Subject Matter Experts on a wide range of activities related to maintaining and improving production processes.

    Skills/experience

    This is what you’ll need to be successful in this role:

    Essentials

    • Engineering qualification such as Bachelor’s degree in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering

    or

    • Time served Apprentice with HNC in Process Engineering Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

    or

    • Qualified by significant experience in a similar Process, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering role
    • Demonstratable understanding of quality assurance principles and methodologies.
    • Familiarity with lean six sigma principles
    • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
