Working as part of our Digital and Customer Experience team, we have a range of opportunities for students to get involved in our continuous improvement plans and support a variety of projects within this area.

Our Digital and CX summer placements provides real hands-on experience through a 12-week placement. Throughout the placement, you will have the support of a business mentor and buddy, who will provide guidance and support to enable you to reach your full potential.
Our summer placement students work collaboratively in a variety of contexts, while also taking ownership of their role by working under their own direction to drive action forward. There will also be networking and presentation opportunities, specialist sessions and support from our graduates.
What do I need?
We would love you to be studying degrees and have a strong interest in Agile practices, Digital delivery, Digital platforms or CX and UX. Our opportunities are open to students who are in their 2nd year of their degree onwards or those who have already graduated.
We'd love you to have some practical work or project experience that reflects your passion for the energy sector, customers or innovation, as well as demonstrable experience of working in a team or a collaborative enviroment. You'll also be comfortable working to and setting stretching individual targets and using your own initiative to overcome challenges and should have a genuine interest in SSE and the prospect of a long-term future with us.
