What is the role?

Business and Commercial Graduates joining SSEN Distribution will be at the forefront of building a better world of energy for future generations. Our programme provides real hands-on experience through a rotation of placements in different projects and teams. Throughout the 2-year programme, you will have the support of our Graduate Programme Manager and a business mentor, who will provide guidance and support to enable you to reach your full potential.

We have roles available within our Business Planning and Performance Team and our Large Capital Delivery Business and Commercial Team. You will be able to indicate on your application which role you would prefer.

Business Planning and Performance Team

As a Graduate Change Analyst, you will be deployed onto one of Distribution’s in flight or newly approved projects or programmes to provide first class change analytical support in line with our People Centred Change Approach Methodology (PCCA). You will work alongside project and programme team specialists across a variety of initiatives including technology, people, process, and culture change.

This role can be based in Aberdeen, Perth or Glasgow.

Large Capital Delivery Business and Commercial Team

The Large Capital Delivery directorate is responsible for delivering the Capital Delivery investment into our network which supports our ED2 Strategy along with our ambitious NZAP+ commitments.

Working with LCD will give graduates firsthand experience in all aspects of project management as we develop and design projects from initial concept through to feasibility, before taking the projects into the delivery phase. From here the detailed design activities and land consenting are undertaken, all before the construction phase commences and experience in contract management will be obtained, as all our projects are delivered by our contract partners.

The role will provide great opportunities to witness our construction activities on site, where a greater understanding of Safety, Health and Environment Management will be available, as we work closely with our contract partners to ensure all our activities are completed in line to safety and quality standards

This role can be based in Glasgow, Aberdeen, Inverness, Perth or Reading.
