    Salary:  £19,100 per annum pro rata

    SSE Renewables is a leading developer and operator of renewable energy across the UK and Ireland, with a portfolio of around 4GW of onshore wind, offshore wind and hydro. Our strategy is to drive the transition to a zero-carbon future through the world class development, construction and operation of renewable energy assets.   

    What is the role?

    Our summer placement scheme offers you an opportunity to work with our Renewable Hydro Generation business.

    During the placement you'll be embedded within one of our Programme Civil Delivery Teams working on a number of key Asset Maintenance Projects – it could be working within the Catchment, Corrosion Protection, Gate and Valve maintenance along with ensuring the structural integrity of our Hydro Dams.

    You'll support the programmes teams learning about Asset Management and Maintenance in a hands on Civil and/or Mechanical Engineering capacity during the planning and construction phases of the projects.

    What do I need?

    For this summer placement you'll be required to be studying engineering, project management, environmental or energy efficiency and will be entering your penultimate or final year of study in September, 2022. A driving licence would be preferred as you’ll be working in various Hydro cascades in the North or South of Scotland.
