    The Housing Management team plays a key role in delivering frontline services for St Leger Homes tenants.

    The Service delivers housing management services across the borough, which includes working with tenants to sustain their tenancies, helping them manage their finances and pay their rent, dealing with anti-social behaviour and keeping the estates looking clean and tidy.

    About the Role

    Commencing in September 2023, we are offering a student placement opportunity for someone who is passionate about housing and communities. The successful candidate will have an opportunity to work in different parts of the service and this will offer them experience in:

    • Working with different tenants and partners on a practical basis to deliver positive outcomes.
    • Understanding housing legislation and how it is applied on a daily basis;
    • Organising work and meeting deadlines in a pressured environment;
    • Developing strategies and procedures in a work environment.

    You would be expected to work across the diverse range of services and from different locations delivering front line services to customers, liaising with partners and visiting tenants in their homes.

    You will be studying for a relevant degree course which includes knowledge in housing or a related function.

    You will have experience of carrying out research and presenting your findings either verbally or in writing. Because your research may include engaging with our customers or other partner organisations you will need excellent communication skills.
