A day in the life
You will be art of a large and diverse team in which you will be supporting the delivery of engineering solutions for the water environment. This role can be based out of Reading, London, Cambridge, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Taunton, or Bristol.
The team works on a large variety of projects, such as river restoration, natural flood management, river and waterways structures, surface water drainage, flood alleviation schemes, wetland design, flood risk management and river and coastal engineering. If you enjoy problem solving and have a passion for climate change and sustainability, then this is the role for you!
As a Graduate River and Coastal Engineer, you will be supporting senior staff on:
- Detailed design
- Report writing
- Optioneering
- Programme & project management
- Site visits
About you
You have plenty of positive energy, a desire to learn and you have a passion for civil engineering. You are excited to join Stantec and design the next great infrastructure project.
The skills and experience we look for in our graduates:
- You will have achieved or be on target to achieve an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering with a bias in river, flood and/or coastal engineering.
- You will have relevant work experience gained through summer placements and internships.
- Finally, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK at the time you start employment.
