Stantec are currently recruiting for summer placements for Chemical Engineering students looking to gain experience within the water industry. You will be based at our High Wycombe office for the 4-week paid placement (there may be the possibility to extend this).
This is a chance to join a dynamic team in supporting the delivery of a variety of water projects. Key to our future is the growth of our process team to support the water sector as we deliver exciting projects for our clients. We are in an unique position in AMP 7 to work with most Water UK clients, which provides an unrivalled opportunity to join an ambitious and fun team that will provide you with plenty of scope for career progression in the coming years.
About you
To be considered you will be completing a degree in Process or Chemical Engineering that is accredited by your relevant professional body (IChemE).
You will have a keen interest in the water and wastewater industry, demonstrated through university projects or relevant internships.
Strong communication skills – both written and verbal are essential, and you must be able to work well within a team and independently. You will be self – motivated, flexible and reliable with good problem solving skills.
You will also have a strong client service focus and excellent organisational skills with the ability to multi-task. Excellent computer skills and a good understanding of Microsoft Office are essential.
Finally, you must be eligible to live and work in the UK at the time you start employment.
