    As a Due Diligence Associate, you will be working in our Due Diligence team, which is responsible for helping Starling Bank identify and manage risks through customer screening, payment screening, risk assessment and monitoring. In this role you will receive training to develop your knowledge of customer due diligence, anti money laundering and counter terrorist financing practices. Successful candidates will have a desire to start a career in financial crime prevention and benefit from personal and professional development opportunities while working on activities that help Starling Bank in the fight against financial crime.

    Responsibilities

    • Reviewing alerts triggered by routine customer screening activities.
    • Supporting the ongoing monitoring of customers that are subject to Enhanced Due Diligence measures.
    • Reviewing alerts triggered by routine payment screening activities
    • Completing due diligence on inbound and outbound high value domestic payments.
    • Supporting Know Your Customer refreshes based on event driven trigger points.
    • Receiving and responding to requests for information regarding payments.
    • Any other reasonable management request.

    Requirements

    • Experience working in the financial services sector.
    • Awareness of financial service firms obligations in respect of financial crime prevention.
    • Desire to start a career in financial crime prevention.
    • Quick learner with ability to work in a fast paced environment.
    • Confident and able to make decisions.
    • Good communicator.
    • Enjoy working in a team environment.
