Hello, we’re Starling. We built a new kind of bank because we knew technology had the power to help people save, spend and manage their money in a new and transformative way. We’re a fully licensed UK bank with the culture and spirit of a fast-moving, disruptive tech company. We’re a bank, but better: fairer, easier to use and designed to demystify money for everyone. We employ more than 3000 people across our London, Southampton, Cardiff and Manchester offices.

    About the programme

At Starling we’re excited to launch our very first bank-wide Graduate Programme. We’re looking for talented Graduates who will take part in two, six months placements in various areas of the bank.

We are looking for individuals who are ambitious, motivated, and have an aptitude to learn. In return, we promise to give you all the opportunities you can handle to continue learning and developing to achieve your career goals.

    Available placements

Your first 6-month placement will be based in one of the following areas:

    • Risk Assurance
    • Data Privacy
    • Credit Risk
    • Vendor Management & Procurement
    • Collections & Recoveries Strategy
    • Financial Risk
    • Marketing and Communications (this would be a 12-month placement, where you spend 6 months in Communications, followed by 6 months in Marketing)

    Important information

This is a permanent position, taking part in the Starling Bank 12 month graduate scheme, with a start date of 2nd September 2024 - please make sure you're able to start from that date.

We work in a hybrid model, where you will spend at least two days per week in one of our offices (Cardiff or London).

    Our recruitment process

Interviewing is a two way process and we want you to have the time and opportunity to get to know us, as much as we are getting to know you! Our interviews are conversational and we want to get the best from you, so come with questions and be curious.

Following your application being reviewed, you can expect the below:

    • Stage 1 - a pre-recorded video interview consisting of 4 questions, taking around 10-20 minutes in total
    • Stage 2 - a face-to-face assessment day, which will include group tasks and an interview with managers from around the business
