    Due to a period of continued growth, Steelway are recruiting for a HR Co-ordinator. In this role, you'll play a critical part in supporting the HR team with the day-to-day operation of the HR function.

    The HR Co-ordinator is a generalist HR role, to include recruitment, onboarding, managing employee records, absence management, minute taking and assisting with any other HR matters.

    Here at Steelway we design, manufacture and install secondary/access metalwork - metal flooring, walkways, staircases, platforms, ladders, fire escapes, handrails, balustrades, heritage & architectural metalwork along with general fabrications in mild steel, stainless steel and GRP for a diverse customer base

    Responsibilities

    • Administration of recruitment, to include job advertisement, interview scheduling
    • Arranging pre-employment checks, verifying ID documentation, checking professional registrations and references
    • Support with the preparation of new employment documentation including offer letters, contracts of employment, training agreements and onboarding processes
    • Providing support for probation period reviews and leaver processes, including scheduling exit interviews
    • Coordination and administration of time, attendance and general employee information through our HRIS
    • Data migration from HR files to the HRIS
    • Working closely with payroll and the Health and Safety Manager
    • Coordinate and attend formal/informal meetings as requested in line with policy
    • Support employee engagement initiatives
    • Assist with communication of procedures, policies and other company information
    • Provide support on disciplinary, grievance and any other HR related matters
    • Ability to deal with general HR enquiries

    Essential experience

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills at all levels
    • A keen eye for detail and accuracy
    • Able to work with diplomacy and maintain high levels of confidentiality
    • Strong organisational and prioritisation skills
    • Previous experience in a HR environment preferred and/or an understanding of employment law
    • Ideally holds or is working towards a CIPD qualification
    • A driving licence preferred as the successful candidate may need to travel between manufacturing sites
    • Proficient in MS office
