    Stifel Europe is a full-service, middle market investment bank that offers a full range of bulge bracket financial services to middle market clients. The investment banking division is rapidly growing and highly active relative to middle market peers; in the last year, headcount of the division has grown to over 150 in London, and ranks amongst the top London investment banks in both total transaction size and volume. Stifel Europe is based in the City of London and its influence reaches throughout continental Europe.

    Electronic Trading group:

    • Team primarily based in New York (10 people), London (6 people) and Paris (1 person) we have a full service Portfolio trading and Electronic desk covering UK / Europe and US regions.
    • We have a combination of our own Stifel algo suite (US stocks) as well as our own dark aggregator algorithm in addition we have 4 broker grey labelled algorithms totally 48 which clients are currently using. We also have in house built TCA tools for post trade and in flight TCA which complements our Low Touch product with High Touch service.

    Role description:

    The successful candidate will join the Select Electronic trading team as an Electronic trading Analyst. They would be based in London working with this dynamic team trading across multiple time zones. Data analysis is becoming more important for equity trading and the candidate will work with the traders using their analysis to help them navigate an increasingly complex market.

    The successful candidate will be trained on trading and market structure which could open up a career as a trader, sales trader or electronic sales.

    Candidate Profile

    We look for candidates who are eager to make an impact and fulfil the below requirements:

    • Have already, or are graduating summer 2022
    • 2:1 or above achieved at degree level
    • Numerate and will be expected to learn to use systems such as Bloomberg / Excel / Fidessa / LiquidMetrix and other data management systems
    • A degree in Mathematics, Physics, Engineering or equivalent
