Are you interested in a Corporate Development & CVC internship between March and June 2024? You will be joining the world of international storage and distribution of bulk liquids, tankers, terminals, aquaculture & LNG at Stolt-Nielsen.
This role requires an analytical, confident, efficient and self-motivated individual who is a capable communicator with the ability to influence people with analysis.
Stolt-Nielsen Limited (SNL) is the specialist storage and transportation provider for bulk liquids: chemicals, clean petroleum, gases, vegetable oils, biofuels and oleochemicals. We also focus on opportunities in aquaculture & LNG.
What You Will Be Doing
You will form part of a small, collaborative team sat in Stolt-Nielsen’s London HQ focused on the origination and execution of a diverse range of M&A activities, strategic equity investments / venture investments and capital market transactions.
You will have the unique opportunity to support two core functions: Corporate Development, with a focus on M&A and the execution of Group strategic operations, and Corporate Venture Capital, with a focus on investing into the future of sustainable logistics.
Our internship will offer you the opportunity to:
- Gain experience, insight, and exposure into Corporate Development & CVC.
- Learn about international storage and distribution of bulk liquids.
- Form the foundations of your work experience within strategic M&A and financial services.
Expectations & Tasks
Your responsibilities may include (but will not be limited to):
- Assisting with desktop research on relevant trends / technologies to help identify investment opportunities.
- Investment evaluation support including evaluating company materials, financial modelling and valuation, drafting investment memos and meeting with founders.
- Corporate strategy support including ad-hoc quantitative and qualitative analysis for the Stolt-Nielsen leadership team and wider Stolt-Nielsen business.
- Preparation of supporting materials for the investment committee, senior management committee and Board of Directors.
Requirements
- Early careers candidates who are either enrolled in or have recently graduated from a bachelor’s or master’s degree at a UK university (or equivalent).
- Candidates who have the right to work in the UK.
- Candidates who are able to complete the full duration of the 6–10-week internship programme in London.
- Strong numeracy and presentation skills.
- Interest in accounting and financial analysis. Interest in logistics and supply chain industries.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
