As our new Business Administrator, you will join a high performing work winning team. Our team’s role is to lead, manage and co-ordinate client tenders to win new work. You will provide critical administrative support to estimating, pre-construction and bid management teams to help Story grow and diversify into new markets. The ideal candidate will have a relentless attention to detail, be a strong team player, and have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

The role will be based in our Carlisle head office with the flexibility of hybrid working following the successful completion of your probation period.

What you'll do

As a Business Administrator reporting to our Bid Manager, your duties will include:

  • Client portal administration including co-ordinating document management, monitoring client systems and compiling/uploading bid submissions.
  • Supporting tender submissions by answering standard client questions and completing mandatory documents.
  • Importing and exporting data from estimating software to client systems.
  • Working with managers to input data and update monthly business plans.
  • Monitoring internal and external sources to update SharePoint databases.
  • General administrative duties

  • Previous administrative office experience
  • Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and SharePoint
  • Ability to analyse data and report anomalies.
